From hope to the future: Voices of our 2024 9th graders
This year marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another for the students who are graduating from ninth grade at School of Hope. Now, they’re preparing to take the next step toward their dreams by enrolling in specialized programs at the high school level. Each student has a unique story, paved with challenges, growth, and hope, but there’s one thing they all share: the courage to dream big.
A Path of Informed Choices
From their early steps in school to choosing their future careers, these students received unwavering support from our career counselor, Ilse. She guided them through a comprehensive orientation process that opened doors to meaningful experiences:
One-on-one counseling sessions where each student explored their interests and concerns.
Visits to schools and meetings with professionals to experience their dream careers up close.
Vocational exams that helped them discover their strengths and confirm their goals.
Today’s dreams: Tomorrow’s Future
Each student has a dream and is excited to keep working toward it. Here are some of their stories:
“I’ve always enjoyed making new friends and spending time with others. I want to study Biological Sciences.” — Zulma, a ninth-grader, excited about her next adventure.
“It was hard to choose at first, but the guidance I received showed me that Marketing is my path. I see myself as someone responsible and dedicated, living a life full of achievements.” — Fátima, who dreams of helping brands grow.
“I chose Hospitality and Tourism, knowing this is the field I want to work in. I worry about keeping my grades up, but ultimately I’m sure I’ll succeed.” — Dulce, learning every step of the way.
For some, the decision-making process was not easy. Madelyn faced doubts initially, but thanks to the support she received, she felt empowered to make a choice:
