We recommend our volunteers fly into the Guatemala City Airport. We can arrange a taxi pickup for you from the airport with one of our trusted drivers. The taxi can take you directly to your homestay or housing. If you do not wish to take a taxi, you can catch an airport shuttle or Uber to Antigua.

All volunteers are welcomed and encouraged to stay with our host families, who we have worked with for years. You will have a private bedroom and share the bathroom, kitchen, and living area. You are provided breakfast and dinner on the weekdays. Our host moms are able to accommodate vegetarians, gluten free diets, and food allergies. There may be other volunteers staying with the family as well. You are given your own key so you can come and go as you please. Most host families are close to the center of Antigua, and there are plenty of nice bars, restaurants, and tourist sites within the area. You can plan the type of homestay you are looking for with the Volunteer Coordinator. Living with a host family is an amazing opportunity to experience local culture and practice your Spanish!
