Future Pathways
What happens after graduating from The School Of Hope?
The School of Hope does not stop supporting students after graduation. Our campus remains a home base where graduates can access technology, mentorship, emotional support, and resources as they pursue higher education, technical training, university careers, and new opportunities. Our graduate students know they will always have a community supporting them as they build their future.
High School
After finishing 9th grade at the School Of Hope, our students receive a scholarship to continue their studies. In Guatemala, students must choose a specific are of focus and depending on their interests, these programs can last between two and three years. Students continue their studies in a variety of local private or public institutions aligned with the specialisation they have chosen.
Technical Training & University
Because every student’s path looks different, we work to help each young person find the opportunity that best fits their strengths and goals.
On going career guidance from The School of Hope
Career guidance begins as early as 8th and 9th grade. Our Further Education team helps students better understand their skills and interests so they feel more confident and prepared for this new stage in their lives.Depending on each student’s situation, they receive monthly sessions, engage in aptitude exploration, attend career fairs, visit universities, complete skills assessments, and participate in one‑to‑one interviews that allow our team to get to know them in depth.
Once students complete 9th grade and move on to high school or university, they continue to receive support from our team. Graduates are constantly in and out of campus, using the scholarship room to study, receive tutoring, meet one-on-one with staff, and access individualized support based on their personal goals and needs. This support also includes employability skill development aligned tailored to labour market opportunities, such as CV preparation, interview readiness and other competencies essential for a successful transition into employment. Our team remains committed to continue to walk alongside our students they navigate academic challenges, career planning, family circumstances, psychological services, and other complex situations that may arise.
