Spanish Day at Lady Bay 🍹🥑

Last Thursday, our Nottingham team had the pleasure of joining Lady Bay Primary School’s Spanish Day celebration for the third year in a row. Despite some windy weather, we managed to avoid the rain and had a lovely afternoon outside.

Students spent their day immersed in Spanish culture, enjoying various activities. As the day wound down, EFTC staff set up a refreshment stand in the playground, offering tasty snacks and drinks for both kids and parents. As children played while their parents mingled, the air was filled with the lively sounds of Latin music, thanks to the efforts of Head of Spanish, Eva Lopez, who orchestrated the event.

Along with the money raised from cocktails, the school generously donated all proceeds from their 'Spanish Café' that same day to EFTC. We're thrilled to share that, thanks to this and the generous contributions from parents, we raised over £1200! This is an incredible amount which undoubtedly reflects the wonderful support of our community.

Our team was grateful for the opportunity to be part of the event. We were particularly glad to have our former Marketing & Comms Manager, Kate Hendry, join us for the afternoon. Our special thanks also to Deputy Headteacher Tracey Keane for her help in ensuring everything ran smoothly.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us. We hope we’ll see you all again at next year’s Spanish Day celebration!
