On the 20th of January, the school year started at the School of Hope. The education team laid a red carpet at the entrance of the school, a special touch to welcome our students back like the stars they are. The older students arrived excited and, above all, happy to be reunited with their teachers and classmates. Our new Prepas were a little more shy, but little by little, they got caught up in the laughter and positive energy of their classmates and teachers.

The assembly began with a welcome speech, mentioning in particular that this was a very special start to the school year - it was celebrating 20 years since the School of Hope opened its doors. This was followed by the traditional ribbon cutting ceremony where two Prepas were in charge of cutting the ribbon with scissors and symbolically starting the school year.

El 20 de enero, se dio inicio del año escolar en la Escuela La Esperanza. El equipo de educación colocó una alfombra roja en la entrada de la escuela, un toque especial para dar la bienvenida a nuestros alumnos como las estrellas que son. Los estudiantes mayores llegaron emocionados y, sobre todo, felices de reencontrarse con sus maestros y compañeros. Nuestros nuevos Prepas llegaron con cierta timidez, pero poco a poco se fueron contagiando de las risas y la buena energía de sus compañeros y maestros.

La asamblea comenzó con un discurso de bienvenida en el que se mencionó que este inicio de clases era muy especial para la escuela ya que se celebraban los 20 años desde que la Escuela La Esperanza abrió sus puertas. Luego continuo la tradicional ceremonia de corte de cinta donde dos alumnas de preparatoria fueron las encargadas de cortar la cinta y dar inicio de forma simbólica al año escolar.

After the opening ceremony, the students were directed to their respective classrooms to meet their teachers. The specialist teachers for music, technology, entrepreneurship, English and PE visited the classrooms to introduce themselves as well.

Each student received a kit of materials. These kits were prepared according to their grade level and will be key to their development and learning. We owe a huge thank you to our “Amigos”, whose sponsorship made these kits possible! Our school and our students are very grateful, and we hope more people will keep joining our “Amigos” program to keep putting a smile on everyone's face.

Tras la ceremonia de inauguración, los niños fueron dirigidos a sus respectivas aulas para conocer a sus profesores. Los profesores especialistas de música, tecnología, iniciativa empresarial, inglés y educación física recorrieron las aulas para presentarse también.

Cada niño recibió un kit de materiales. Estos kits fueron preparados según su grado escolar y serán claves para su desarrollo y aprendizaje. Muchas gracias a nuestro programa Amigos que patrocinó estos kits para nuestros estudiantes. Nuestra escuela y nuestros estudiantes están muy agradecidos y esperamos que más personas se unan a nuestro programa Amigos para seguir poniendo una sonrisa en sus rostros.
