Prueba de Orientación Vocacional USAC 🎓🔍
Our scholarship students who will begin their university journey next year have already started the admission process at the University of San Carlos of Guatemala (USAC), taking one of their first steps toward their professional careers.
As part of this process, students generate the payment order for the university’s Career Orientation Test and then complete the virtual exam assignment. Through this system, each student receives a specific date to visit the university and take their evaluation.
The Career Orientation Test is designed to help identify the skills, interests, and academic areas that best align with the career they hope to pursue. It is also one of the initial requirements for university admission. Students also complete their registration and enrollment in the university system, a process that creates each applicant’s official file and grants access to the next stages of admission.
Los estudiantes becados que el próximo año iniciarán su etapa universitaria ya comenzaron el proceso de admisión en la Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, dando uno de los primeros pasos hacia su formación profesional.
Como parte de este proceso, los estudiantes realizan la generación de la orden de pago para la prueba de orientación vocacional y posteriormente llevan a cabo la asignación virtual del examen. A través de este sistema, cada estudiante recibe una fecha específica para asistir a la universidad y realizar su evaluación.
La prueba de orientación vocacional tiene como objetivo ayudar a identificar las habilidades, intereses y áreas académicas que pueden relacionarse mejor con la carrera que desean estudiar. Además, forma parte de los requisitos iniciales para ingresar a la universidad. También se realiza el registro e inscripción en el sistema universitario, proceso que permite crear el expediente oficial de cada aspirante dentro de la universidad y dar acceso a las siguientes etapas de admisión.
Throughout the month of May, these evaluations will be conducted, and afterward, students must register for the basic knowledge tests, which vary depending on the degree they wish to pursue. They then continue with the specific exams required by each faculty.
As students progress and pass each stage, they move forward in their university admission process. In some cases, if they do not pass an evaluation, they have the opportunity to prepare further and try again later.
At School of Hope, Ilse, our vocational counselor, supports and guides students throughout the entire process. Answering questions, guiding them step by step, and conducting individual interviews to interpret their results together. In this way, she helps them better understand their skills and interests so they feel more confident and prepared for this new stage in their lives.
Durante el mes de mayo se estarán aplicando estas evaluaciones y, posteriormente, los estudiantes deberán inscribirse en las pruebas de conocimientos básicos, las cuales varían según la carrera que desean estudiar. Después continúan las pruebas específicas de cada facultad.
A medida que los estudiantes avanzan y aprueban cada etapa, continúan con su proceso de admisión a la universidad. En algunos casos, si no logran aprobar alguna evaluación, tienen la oportunidad de prepararse mejor y volver a intentarlo más adelante.
En la Escuela La Esperanza, Ilse, nuestra orientadora vocacional acompaña y apoya a los estudiantes durante todo este proceso, resolviendo dudas, guiándolos paso a paso y realizando entrevistas individuales para interpretar junto a cada estudiante sus resultados. De esta manera, los ayuda comprender mejor sus habilidades e intereses para que se sientan más seguros y mejor preparados para esta nueva etapa de sus vidas.
